A Grandparent’s Love, A £3000 Win, and a Family’s New Beginning 

At Chaotic, we are always inspired by the stories of how our competition wins make a real difference in people’s lives. Recently, one of our members won £3000, and the difference it made for their family is nothing short of amazing. 

After the heartbreaking loss of a young child, this member’s daughter turned to alcohol and drugs, struggling for years. When she was pregnant again, she wasn’t able to keep the baby, so this dedicated grandparent stepped in to raise him. For over a decade, they have provided love and care for their grandchild, who was born with fetal alcohol syndrome but remains a joyful child. 

Their daughter eventually got the help she needed and is now in her first year as a student nurse. Though she still faces struggles, she has stayed away from alcohol and drugs, and is building a better future for herself. 

When this member won £3000, it was a game-changer. “The win helped me more than I can put into words,” they said. With part of the win, they were able to buy their daughter a much-needed cooker and gave her £500 to support her. “It felt amazing to be able to help her after everything she’s been through,” they shared.

The win also allowed them to take their grandchild out during the half-term holidays, creating precious memories for the whole family. “It was so special to be able to take them out and just enjoy the time with them. This win has really given us a chance to breathe and have some happiness,” they said. 

This £3000 win didn’t just provide financial relief—it brought this family a renewed sense of hope, happiness, and opportunity. As the member said, “Thank you for running such an amazing page. It’s given us a little happiness in our lives when we really needed it.”
