Winners
From Worrying About Where They’d Live… to £50,000

After winning an incredible £50,000 instant win in our Pot of Chaoss competition, Heather and her family joined us at Chaotic HQ to make it official. But this wasn't just a big win. At a time when they were facing uncertainty about where they would live next, £50,000 gave them something they desperately needed: peace of mind. What started with just five 49p tickets became a fresh start, a brighter future and, in Heather's words,

"the weirdest feeling not having a worry."

Just Five Tickets

It was Father's Day.

Heather was getting ready for a family trip to Butlin's the following day when she decided to enter Pot of Chaoss.

Nothing huge. Just five 49p tickets.

In fact, she nearly didn't enter at all.

"I went to enter the competition and then I cancelled it. I thought, I'll do it later."

Eventually, she came back, pressed enter and started scratching.

Heather had won with Chaotic before. £880 previously and £666 just before Christmas. Great wins, but nothing that prepared her for what was about to happen next.

Then £50,000 appeared.

"I just couldn't believe it. I looked and I was like... this can't be real."

Like many winners, her first reaction was to wonder whether something had gone wrong.

"I was like, there must be a mistake on the system."

Screenshots were taken immediately. Then more screenshots.

Just in case.

"We Didn't Know What We Were Going to Do"

For Heather and her family, the timing couldn't have been more important.

They had recently been given notice by their landlord and were facing the prospect of having to leave the home they had lived in for six years.

Finding somewhere else wasn't proving easy.

"We literally did not know what we were going to do."

The uncertainty was becoming overwhelming. Then came the £50,000 win.

"Now we don't have to worry."

That feeling hit almost immediately when the family headed off to Butlin's.

For the first time in a long time, they were able to enjoy a break without financial worries constantly sitting in the background.

"We went away for the week with no worries, and I've never had that."

"I was like, this is amazing. Not a worry in the world."

A New Home. A New Start.

There are no plans for flashy purchases.

For Heather and her family, this win is about the things that many people take for granted.

A secure home.

A garden.

A bedroom for their daughter.

Being able to invite friends over.

Clearing the bills.

Starting again without already feeling behind.

"It's just the simple things in life that are going to be amazing."

The family plan to clear existing debts and finally start moving forward instead of constantly trying to catch up.

"Every month, our money's ours."

And there is one exciting family trip already making its way onto the wish list.

Disneyland Paris.

It's somewhere Heather's daughter has seen other children visit, but something the family had always placed firmly in the "maybe one day" category.

Not anymore.

"We've always said, in the future, maybe we will. And now we can."

There is also one very important request for the new house.

A unicorn bedroom.

Obviously.

Giving Their Children More

For Heather and her husband, the win isn't really about them.

"This money isn't even for us. Well, it is in a sense of a new home... but it's for the kids."

Their daughter Seren is a national champion baton twirler, competing around the country.

Competitions mean travel, accommodation and costs that the family have always found a way to cover.

But it wasn't always easy.

"Every penny, I scrape to make sure she can go."

At one point, they had even started wondering how long they would be able to continue.

Now they don't have to.

Seren can keep following her dreams.

Why Chaotic?

Heather first discovered Chaotic through Facebook.

She gave one of the competitions a try and not long afterwards won £880.

But winning wasn't the only reason she kept coming back.

The SEND support behind Chaotic mattered too.

"If some of it goes to charity, I don't really care. That's the main thing. It's not just going nowhere."

For Heather, that connection is personal.

Her eldest daughter has cerebral palsy and autism, making the support Chaotic provides to SEND families especially meaningful.

"If you can help out another family that needs just that bit of support... why not?"

And she never felt like she needed to spend big to have a chance.

"The competitions are so affordable. It's not silly money."

Five 49p tickets certainly proved that.

"It Is Official. It Is Yours."

Back at Chaotic HQ, there was still one thing left to do.

Make it official.

Even seeing the balance on screen didn't quite feel real.

"Oh my God. I can see it."

£50,000.

Paid.

Official.

Hers.

"Never, ever in a million years."

Heather had watched other Chaotic winner videos before and wondered what it would feel like to see her own name there.

"I'd love to see my name there."

Now it is.

A Father's Day She'll Never Forget

There was one final reason this win felt especially meaningful.

It happened on Father's Day.

Heather lost her dad two years ago.

"I just miss him so much. He brought me up."

With everything the family had been facing, she had spent a lot of time hoping something would finally go their way.

Then, on Father's Day, it did.

"I was like, thanks, Dad."

"I felt like it was just sent from above."

From wondering where they were going to live, to planning a new home, clearing bills, supporting their children and finally taking that trip to Disneyland Paris, £50,000 changed a lot.

But perhaps the biggest change is the simplest one.

"It's the weirdest feeling not having a worry."

From everyone at Chaotic, congratulations again to Heather and her family on their incredible £50,000 Pot of Chaoss win.
