One Game Back. £10,000 Won.
Chaotic
27 Apr 2026
After taking nearly a year away from Chaotic, Josh decided to give it another go. One game later, he was £10,000 richer. What started as a normal evening watching football quickly turned into an unforgettable win, putting Josh and his partner a big step closer to owning their own home.
From Watching the Football to £10,000
There was nothing particularly unusual about Josh's evening before the win.
He was at home watching the football.
Arsenal were playing and, as a Spurs fan, Josh was mainly watching in the hope they'd lose.
Earlier that day, he'd entered Chaotic's Instant Chaos competition, but by the time the live draw came around, he'd pretty much forgotten about it.
"I went in for the car. I didn't even realise you could win the main prize."
Then came the phone call.
Josh had won £10,000.
Even better, it was the first time he'd played in almost a year.
"This was literally the first time I played since I stopped playing about a year ago... and then I won."
Not a bad comeback.
"I Expected It to Never Be Me"
Josh had been with Chaotic for a year or two and had won smaller prizes before.
But £10,000 felt different.
Neither he nor his family could quite believe it.
"I told my mum and she wasn't sure if it was real."
When Josh called to share the news, disbelief was the first reaction.
Her husband was asleep beside her when she told him Josh had just won £10,000.
His response?
"Yeah, of course he has."
By the following morning, reality had finally started to sink in.
This was real.
And Josh was £10,000 richer.
"I expected it to never be me, so it proves that you can win."
One Step Closer to Their Own Home
There was already a plan for the money.
A house.
Josh and his partner have been saving for a couple of years and even moved back in with their parents to help build their deposit faster.
Anyone who has saved for a home knows how long that process can feel.
Every month counts.
Every pound matters.
And £10,000 has just moved their plans forward in a big way.
"It's like a year ahead of where we were going to be."
Most of the money is heading straight into their house fund.
Although not quite all of it.
You've Got to Treat Yourself Too
After spending years focused on saving, Josh and his partner decided they deserved a small celebration.
A shopping trip followed.
A few purchases.
Around £600 to £700 spent.
Including a new pair of sunglasses.
"When you're saving, you forget to spend on yourself."
Fair enough.
You've just won £10,000.
We'll allow it.
More Than Just the Prizes
There's another reason Josh enjoys playing with Chaotic.
The work we do supporting the SEND community means something to him personally.
Josh has a disabled sister, and growing up, his family received support from charities themselves.
"We had a lot of charity for my sister back in the day."
"I like that side of things. I know it's going to a good cause as well."
For Josh, it means there's something more behind entering than simply trying to win.
"It's not just going into people's pockets."
A Message for the Men Who Say They Never Win
We hear it all the time.
Apparently, men never win.
So naturally, we had to ask Josh what advice he'd give to the men sitting at home convinced it'll never be them.
His answer was simple.
"Let your wife do it. You might win more."
Hard to argue with the £10,000 sitting in his account.
Making It Official
Back at Chaotic HQ, there was one final thing left to do.
Make it official.
Josh logged into his Chaotic account and watched his wallet change.
£10,000.
A quick call to the team.
A withdrawal request.
One refresh of his banking app.
And there it was.
The money was officially his.
After taking almost a year away, returning for one game and somehow walking away £10,000 richer, things had worked out pretty well.
The shopping trip may have already started.
But the real prize is what comes next.
A bigger house deposit.
And being one giant step closer to getting the keys to a place of their own.
From everyone at Chaotic, congratulations again to Josh on his incredible £10,000 win. And good luck with the house hunt.
