Because Every Family Deserves a Day Like This

This Is Personal to Us
For our Founder and CEO, Shana, this has always been personal.
As a mum to an autistic son, she knows what it feels like when something as simple as a family day out isn't simple at all. When the crowds, noise and uncertainty mean sometimes, you just don't go.
That's why we created this day.
Not because supporting SEND families is something we do, but because it's part of who we are.
We know what these moments can mean to a family.
And every family deserves to have them.
Because Every Family Deserves a Day Like This
For lots of families, going to a theme park is just a day out.
You pack the bags, get in the car and spend the day going on rides, eating too many snacks and making memories together.
But for many families raising a child with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), it isn't always that simple.
Long queues, crowds, unfamiliar surroundings, noise and sensory overload can turn what should be an exciting family day into something that requires weeks of planning and preparation. And sometimes, the worry about how the day might go means families decide it simply isn't worth the risk.
We hear experiences like this from families in our community all the time.
So, we wanted to create a day where some of those worries could be taken away.
On 12th September 2026, we took over Gulliver's Land in Milton Keynes exclusively for the Chaotic Community.
396 families. More than 2,100 people. One very special day.
And seeing it all come together is something we'll never forget.
A Day That Felt Different
From the moment families started arriving, there was a real sense that everyone was there for the same reason: to have a brilliant day with their family, surrounded by people who understood.
The park was exclusively for our community, with reduced numbers and sensory considerations helping to make the experience more comfortable and accessible.
Every family received specially designed event t-shirts, and our Chaotic team was spread across the park throughout the day to answer questions, help wherever we could and, most importantly, spend time with the families we'd created the event for.
Of course, there were rides, attractions and plenty of excitement. George, our Chaotic mascot, also became a bit of a celebrity for the day, with children stopping for cuddles, photos and some very enthusiastic hellos.
But for us, the moments we'll remember most weren't necessarily the biggest ones.
They were seeing children completely being themselves.
Parents being able to relax a little.
Families laughing together.
And children experiencing things that, for some of them, had never felt possible before.
Several parents told us that this was the first time their family had ever visited a theme park.
That stopped us in our tracks.
Something that can feel like such a normal part of childhood for one family can feel completely out of reach for another. Seeing children go on rides, explore the park and experience that excitement for the first time reminded us exactly why creating opportunities like this matters.
At the end of the day, every family left with a goodie bag filled with Chaotic merchandise and surprises to take home. It was only a small gesture, but we wanted everyone to have something extra to take home from the day.
Although judging by the smiles, photos and stories we've received since, we're pretty sure the memories were the best thing they took away.
What Families Told Us
We hoped families would have a great day. But reading the messages and reviews afterwards showed us just how much the experience had meant to some of those who attended.
One parent told us:
"Chaotic Community went above and beyond for this event. It was an amazing experience to share with my family without judgement from any other family, without worrying if my son had a meltdown and wondering whether we would be judged and stared at. The staff were amazing and made this experience an amazing one, with memories me and my family will cherish forever."
Another family shared:
"We attended the Gulliver's Takeover event, the day was fantastic, well thought out and enjoyable. We had tons of fun as a family, enjoying a day out with other understanding SEN families."
That feeling of being somewhere where families didn't have to explain themselves came through again and again.
One parent wrote:
"It was so nice to take my boys somewhere for a day out with no judgement where they could be themselves. The team there were so helpful and couldn't do enough. The gift bags were so lovely and just a lovely thought."
For another family, the day marked a completely new experience:
"I was so excited as I've never been to a theme park, nor have my children."
And one comment captured something that sits at the heart of why having a community like this matters:
"It makes me not feel alone when knowing we are all going through similar experiences."
Our team also received some lovely feedback:
"Very friendly Chaotic staff always smiling and they were scattered everywhere on hand to help, talking to everyone which was lovely to see."
And then there was possibly the simplest review of them all:
"The best day ever at Gulliver's Land."
We can't really ask for much more than that.
More Than a Theme Park
One of the things parents and carers tell us regularly is that raising a child with SEND can sometimes feel isolating.
Things that look simple from the outside can involve planning, preparation and considerations that other people may never see.
That's why the Gulliver's Takeover was never really just about going to a theme park.
It was about creating a space where nobody had to apologise or explain.
Where a child having a difficult moment wasn't something to stare at.
Where families could be around other families who understood.
And where children could simply enjoy being children.
That's what made the day so special.
Why We Do It
Chaotic is a commercial business, but giving back to the SEND community has been part of who we are from the beginning.
We commit a minimum of 5% of our profits to supporting SEND children, young people and families. But for us, giving back has never just been about writing a cheque.
Sometimes it's funding vital support. Sometimes it's working with organisations doing incredible things within the SEND community. And sometimes it's investing £95,202 to take over an entire theme park so more than 2,100 people can enjoy a day together that they'll hopefully remember for years to come.
For just £2 per person, families received entry to the park, lunch, a specially designed event t-shirt, a goodie bag and, for some families, transport support to help make attending possible.
Our partnerships, community projects and events may all look different, but the reason behind them is the same.
We want to make a genuine difference to SEND families.
And this day was a pretty special example of what that can look like.
Don't Just Take Our Word for It
We've shared just a handful of the messages we received, but there are many more.

Thank You
To the 396 families and more than 2,100 people who trusted us with their family day out: thank you.
Thank you for travelling from across the UK, for bringing your families, for saying hello to our team, for sharing your stories with us and for making the day what it was.
And to every single person who plays with Chaotic: thank you too.
When you support Chaotic, you're also helping us create opportunities like this for the SEND community.
There was something quite surreal about standing in the middle of Gulliver's Land and seeing thousands of people wearing Chaotic t-shirts, children running around excitedly and families enjoying the park together.
It made all of the planning, spreadsheets, meetings and slightly stressful moments behind the scenes completely worth it.
Because when we look back at the Gulliver's Takeover, we won't remember how many rides there were.
We'll remember the family visiting a theme park for the first time.
We'll remember children being able to be completely themselves.
We'll remember parents telling us they didn't feel judged.
We'll remember the smiles, the laughter and the feeling of having more than 2,100 people from our community together in one place.
That's what Chaotic Community is about.
And if this is what we can create together, we're very excited about what comes next.
