Supporting Inclusive Sport for a Second Year with London Youth Games

We're delighted to share that Chaotic Community has extended its partnership with London Youth Games for a further year, continuing our shared commitment to improving access to inclusive sport and physical activity for young people with SEND.

Building on the success of the first year, Chaotic Community has committed a further £125,410 to support London Youth Games' inclusive sports programme, helping more young people with SEND access sport, build confidence and experience a sense of belonging.

Since launching in 2025, the partnership has helped provide thousands of young Londoners with opportunities to get active, build confidence and experience the many benefits of sport in environments designed to be welcoming and inclusive.

As London Youth Games prepares to celebrate its landmark 50th anniversary in 2027, we're proud to continue supporting a programme that helps ensure more young people with SEND can take part, make connections and enjoy experiences that many of us often take for granted.

Why This Partnership Matters 

For so many children, being part of a sports team, trying a new activity or simply running onto a pitch with their friends is just part of growing up. But for many children with SEND, opportunities like these can be much harder to find. 

And it’s about so much more than sport. 

It’s the excitement of trying something new. The confidence that comes from realising, “I can do this.” The friendships, the independence and the feeling of being included rather than not being invited at all. 

For parents, seeing your child welcomed into an environment where they can take part, be themselves and feel like they belong can mean more than people realise. 

That’s why our partnership with London Youth Games is so important to us. 

They’re helping create those opportunities for thousands of young people across London, while working with schools, youth groups, inclusive sports clubs and disability organisations to reach children who may otherwise miss out. 

And we’ve seen what that can mean. 

During the first year of our partnership, London Youth Games delivered more opportunities for young people with SEND to get involved in sport, while also providing training and development to more than 250 coaches and volunteers. 

For us, continuing this partnership for a second year wasn’t just about supporting another programme. It was about helping more children experience those moments that every child deserves to have. 

To take part. To feel included. To find something they love. 

And to have that brilliant feeling of realising just how much they’re capable of.  

Looking Ahead to 2027 

The extension of the partnership will allow London Youth Games to continue expanding its inclusive sports programme, delivering even more opportunities for young people with SEND across London. 

With 2027 marking the Foundation's Golden Games anniversary year, we're excited to play a small part in helping create a lasting impact for thousands more young people and their families. 

As the programme continues to grow, the focus will remain on increasing participation, supporting inclusive opportunities and ensuring more children and young people can access the benefits of sport and physical activity.
