When the Screen Becomes Reality: Lucy’s £45,995 Story

Lucy walks into Chaotic HQ and pauses for a moment.

"Insane," "Unreal," "It feels like a bit of an out-of-body experience".

For months she had been entering online, like thousands of others. Watching draws, seeing names appear on screen, and quietly thinking the same thing most people do.

It probably will not be me.

Visit a friend who moved to Dubai.

Life had simply got in the way. Work, schedules, everyday responsibilities.

“Now I can finally go". 

And once the travel plans start, she already has another destination in mind.

“Nashville too,” she smiles. “I just want to treat myself. And my family". 

Sometimes the biggest impact of a win is the freedom to say yes to things that used to sit on the ‘one day’ list.

A reminder that it really can happen

Lucy had only been playing since the summer.

Long enough to know the feeling of watching draws and assuming someone else’s name will appear.

“I genuinely did not expect it".

When asked what she would say to someone thinking about entering, she kept it simple.

“If you enjoy it, just keep going. You never think it will be you".
