Mobiquip Buggy Giveaway

After speaking with families in our Facebook community, we found out that many were living without access to a suitable buggy. For some, this meant being unable to leave their homes, attend appointments or enjoy simple moments outdoors with their little ones. The impact on their independence, inclusion and quality of life was very evident and something we felt passionately about supporting. 

Determined to change this, we pledged to gift £100,000 worth of Mobiquip XL buggies to families in need. We launched a not-for-profit competition to raise funds, with every penny going directly to the buggy fund. Although, this didn’t reach anywhere near the target we’d hoped for, our commitment to providing this essential support never wavered and we decided to fund this ourselves.

We approached Mobiquip to share our ambitions and purchased 364 Mobiquip XL buggies from them for direct distribution to families across our community. This investment has already made a life-changing difference, giving hundreds of families the mobility, freedom and inclusion they had been missing for far too long.

CASE STUDY - Albie, 4 years old

Wow where do I start words will never be enough to express our gratitude for Albie's disability buggy thank you so very much to everyone at chaotic that has made this possible and for this amazing gesture this group is absolutely outstanding!!! 

He absolutely loves it and is using it straight away to go and get his older sisters from school. Little bit of a back story as l've been hiding in the shadows until now. This is Albie he is 4 years old he is diagnosed autistic and global development delayed he was also classed as non verbal up until 9 months ago when he started saying single words and amazingly he has come so far since and is able to say short sentences now hence the shock in my voice in the video when I said what did you say because I really wasn't expecting that. 

He has used a disability buggy now daily for a little while and he uses it as his comfort as well as for me for his safety as he will headbanging on walls or the floor and have huge meltdowns if we try and have him walk or it will go the other way and he will just run off with no sense of danger he heads straight for the roads. We was using a disability buggy that a friend got for us but long story short when we was crossing a road a car reversed without looking (she even said she wasn't looking and was distracted) into the old buggy popping the back wheel off and bending the frame.

Thankfully Albie was at nursery at the time and noone was hurt but it meant the buggy was unsafe for Albie to use so to be given this chance of having a new one for him is absolutely amazing and we as a family cannot thank you enough we will be forever greatful.
